What do I need from my parents?

In my particular case what I would want and I guess sort of need from my parents would have to be more freedom. I would think that my parents want to protect me a lot from many things that they think is bad and even right sometimes. I sort of have evidence. For example whenever I want go to a friend’s house, or somewhere with my friends or anybody, im always asked so many questions. Just like many kids that might have also experienced this, my parents or a parent always asks me things like who is that person you’re going with? Whenever I tell them who invited me to go to their house.

    They also ask me why and what do they want u to go to their house? Sometimes, they ask me who are their parents, and even if I get to go with my friend, when I come back home, once again, im asked what I did and what happened and many more questions that sometimes they end up asking so much of that they get me confused the I end up answering wrong and have a difficult time getting them to believe that I didn’t mean that answer. Sometimes this frustrates me just like any other kid that might have a similar story. So this is mostly what I want from my parents. Its just freedom that keeps me from doing a lot more things that I don’t even want to mention because they’re long stories.

What do I want to learn from my culture?

 What I would like to know more about my Mexican culture is the food. i would want to know like how Mexican food were made or how they were made up. And how it could have been passed down from generation to generation of how it was made and perfected over the centuries. One example of a perfected custom or food that has been alive since the existence of the Mexican culture is salsa other known as hot sauce. Since the Aztec or Mayan times there were this sauce that was so hot u would have to drink 3 gallons of water to calm it down.  And now it has been passed down to the generations to day that u can make that kind of sauce. And not just sauce. Also the vegetables and the fruits and all the deserts and breads.  Lastly, the thing that I would want to know about my Mexican culture would have to be the music and all the rituals that are celebrated in parts ofMexico. Like for example, the day of the dead which is mostly known as el dia de los muertos in Mexico.

      I would want to know who made that festival or how it even got to be a festival that we celebrate for 1 whole day non stop. And for the music, I would want to know how they combined all the sounds of all the Mexican instruments to make very good combos with the other instruments to make ranchera or mariachi music. I would also want to know how that music got to be so popular from the olden times till now that it is still heard today on many special occasions or just played for leisure

Defining Success

i chose to define education with succes. For me, educational success is measured by what someone can attain after they have finished their schooling.  There are some things I believe someone must be able to do after they finish college in order to be considered an educational success.  For example, some things are:

The ability of a person to support themselves in society after they have completed their educational process.  In today’s world, I believe most people need to go to college and perhaps go beyond a 4-year college degree.

They must purse a Master’s or professional degree like that of a medical doctor or lawyer if they are to get paid well;

they must be able to get along with others and cooperate and collaborate with others in society to do good for others;

they must be able to communicate well with others and share ideas that will make this world a better place; and they must be responsible and act with compassion when dealing with other people.

For me, it is one thing, a good thing, for people to finish high school and go on to college and graduate there.  However, if they do not become productive members of our society in all the ways I listed above, then I do not think they can be considered an educational success.

What 3 aspects of my culture would i put in a box?

The 1st thing that I would put in my box would have to be a soccer ball. Soccer has been in Mexico’s culture since the way beginning and is considered the most popular sport and the most played in Mexico. Plus, I play it once and a while in school.  I enjoy playing it sometimes. It’s a cool fun sport.

The 2nd thing that I would put in my box would be a piñata. It is the most common thing that most young Mexican kids would want to have in their party. It’s just a great game to have when you’re having a party. You want to have fun at a party most of the time and you want to have a great time plus you want some candy and you might want to eat some sweets. So the piñata is the perfect thing to get. You’ll have a great time hitting it with a broom stick and you’ll have a great time eating all the candy that comes out.

The 3rd and final thing that I would want to put in the box would be all the Mexican food of Mexico im just kidding. All the food won’t fit in the first place, and second, it will rote. If I cant out the food in the box then I would want to at least put the entire Mexican food recipe. From the most common food the tortilla, to burritos, tacos, enchiladas, Chile reyeno, and many, many more delicious foods.
